ABOUT FREQUENCY YOGA

(previously Bikram & Power Yoga San Rafael) has been operating as a heated yoga school since 1994, and has been under the current ownership since 2004. Over the years, we’ve done many improvements and remodels, and now we offer state-of-the-art climate control, flooring, and sound systems in 2 seperate yoga rooms individually designed for the classes held in them. Our changerooms are new, clean and bright and we offer 7 showers to clean yourself up after class along with hairdryers and other amenities. We have a boutique with the latest in high-quality yoga wear and accessories, fresh-pressed organic juices, water and other beverages, mat and towel rentals.  We have a dedicated 25-car parking lot on C St. between 1st & 2nd, as well as plenty of free and metered parking all around us. The only way we could make it any easier, is if we did the yoga for you (but that wouldn’t be as much fun!)

Come learn to hang with the bats- upside down….!
Get insight into the principles of inverting in a safe and supportive environment. We will go through helpful ways to strengthen, balance and stack into various headstands and forearm stands using props and detailed alignment cues that you cannot get from regular class time. We will cover various entries, leg variations and backbends as we climb through the process of finding your specific helpful hint.

Breaking down each posture so as to pinpoint where our personal struggles lie, helps us identify which areas to focus on in our regular practice times, so that we can achieve our upside goals more effectively.

Amber struggled with inversions for years, seeking out helpful hints, workshops and one-on-one classes with many teachers. Finally, breaking down the postures into tiny pieces, and combining everything she learnt, helped her to lift into a strong inversion practice. She has collected all their tidbits, and added her own insights to give them to you in this one workshop.

Together we will grow our confidence, core strength and agility so that we can hang out with the bats this summer in playful upside down variations!

(Headstands are not recommended during pregnancy, or if you have a neck injury or scoliosis to any degree. Your health is more important then your shape: Keep it safe!)
